Frozen Fruit Salad

Ingredients

• 1 pint cream
• 1 teaspoon instantaneous gelatin
• 1 1/4 cups fruit cut fine (cherries, peaches, pineapple, etc.)
• 1/2 cup mayonnaise
• 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
• 2 tablespoons cold water
• Lettuce

Method

   Soak gelatin in cold water, melt over steam, and beat into mayonnaise.

   Add sugar to cream and whip, then combine with mayonnaise.

   Stir in cut-up fruit.

   Pack in ice and freeze as for a mousse.

   Mayonnaise may be omitted from the mixture to be frozen and served separately.
