FROSTED RAISIN CAKE. One cup sugar, one of flour, three eggs, three tablespoonfuls of cold water, two teaspoonfuls baking powder, a piece of butter as large as a walnut ; flavor and bake in layers. For frosting — White of one egg beaten to a stiff froth, two-thirds of a cup of sugar, one tablespoonful of water ; put in a dish and set in a kettle of boiling water ; cook ten or fifteen minutes, but do not let it get stiff ; have ready a large teacup of stoned raisins
