Flaky Paste (1)

Ingredients

• 1/2 lb. Flour
• 1 teaspoonful Baking Powder
• 1/2 lb. Butter
• whites of one or two Eggs

Method

1. 1

   Switch whites to froth, and mix flour with whites and about 1 gill cold water to a nice paste.

   Roll out and place 1/3 of butter cut in small pieces over this; sprinkle a little flour over.

   Fold in 3; roll out.

   Place second of butter in similar manner, and so a third time.
