Elderberry Jam

Ingredients

• % part elderberries
• 1 part tart apples
• % lb sugar
• a very little water, if necessary

Method

   To 0.5 part elderberries add 1 part tart apples, and to every lb of this mixture add 0.5 lb sugar and a very little water, if necessary.

   Flavor with lemon juice or any preferred spices.

   Boil until the consistency of apple butter.
