Dried Cherry Cake

Ingredients

• one cupful of sugar
• one-half cupful of butter
• one-half cupful of sour milk
• one cupful of dried cherries
• one teaspoonful of soda
• spice to taste
• flour enough to make a stiff batter

Method

   Beat the sugar and butter to a cream, add the sour milk, cherries, soda, spices, and enough flour to make a stiff batter.

   Bake in paper lined tins in a moderate oven for about one hour.
