Denver Biscuits

Ingredients

• 1 pt. sweet milk scalded and cooled
• 1 yeast cake dissolved in 1/2 cup water
• 1/2 cup lard
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup mashed Irish potatoes
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon soda
• 1/2 teaspoon Royal baking powder
• 7 cups flour

Method

   Mix to medium soft dough, place in bowl, grease over the top.

   Let rise until doubled in bulk.

   Knead and make out into rolls.

4. 4

   Let stand in warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours.

   Bake in hot oven for about 15-20 minutes.
