CUCUMBER PICKLE To each quart of vinegar, allow a light half pound of sugar, a few whole cloves, a few pieces of broken cinnamon, one tea- spoonful of celery seed, and one tablespoonful white mustard seed. Tie the seed up in a white muslin bag. Boil all together a few minutes. Have the cucumbers (ready soaked) in a stone jar, with one tablespoonful of horse radish and a few slices of onion
