Crumb Croquettes

Ingredients

• Melt a tablespoonful of butter
• add a tablespoonful of flour
• a cupful of sweet milk
• salt to season
• pepper to season
• then add one beaten egg
• mix in bread crumbs until thick

Method

   Melt butter in a frying pan and add flour, milk, salt, and pepper.

   Cook until thickened, then add a beaten egg.

   Mix in bread crumbs until thick.

   Make into balls, let cool, roll in egg and crumbs, and fry in deep fat.
