Codfish Soup

Ingredients

• 1 pt strained tomatoes
• 1 cup boiled and flaked codfish
• 1 qt water
• a lump of butter
• scant 1/2 teasp soda
• 1 pt scalded milk

Method

   To the strained tomatoes, add boiled and flaked codfish, water, and butter.

   Boil for 15 minutes, then add soda and while foamy, pour in scalded milk.

   Serve at once.
