Cocoanut Patties

Ingredients

• 1 cup sugar
• ½ pt boiling water
• ½ cup grated cocoanut
• 2 well-beaten eggs
• a tablesp of the above mixture

Method

   Boil together about 1 cup sugar and ½ pint boiling water, then add ½ cup grated cocoanut, and boil about 8 minutes more, after which remove from the fire and add 2 well-beaten eggs.

   Line little patty pans with ordinary pie crust, put a tablespoon of the above mixture in each, and bake in a hot oven.
