Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

• A piece of butter the size of a butternut.
• 1 cup sugar.
• 1 egg, (beaten light).
• 3/4 cup milk.
• 1/2 cup flour.
• 1 heaping teaspoonful baking powder.
• 1 square chocolate.
• 1 cup sugar for filling.
• 5 tablespoonfuls of milk.
• 1 teaspoonful vanilla.

Method

   Cream butter, add sugar, then egg, milk, flour, and baking powder.

   For filling, melt chocolate, add sugar and milk, boil for 3 minutes, then add vanilla.

   Beat until cool enough to spread on cake.
