Chocolate Cake \y2 cups sugar VA cup chopped nuts y2 cup butter Y\ cup milk 3 eggs 2 cups flour y2 teaspoon soda 1 teaspoon cream of tartar 1 ounce unsweetened 1 small bottle of cherries chocolate Cream butter and sugar, add the eggs beaten separately, then milk, mix C. of T. and soda together three times, and mix thoroughly with above. Warm chocolate over steaming water, stir into barter, then add nuts, and cherries and stir well. Bake in two layers in moderate oven about 20 minutes. Frosting For Above. 1 tablespoon butter 2 tablespoon strong coffee 1 tablespoon cocoa y2 teaspoon vanilla Cream butter, cocoa and sugar, add coffee, vanilla and mix till smooth.
