Cheese Fondu

Ingredients

• 1 cup fresh bread-crumbs
• 1/2 cups grated cheese
• 1 cup of milk
• 1 bit of soda as large as a pea
• 1/2 teaspoonful of salt
• 1 pinch of red pepper
• 1 teaspoonful of butter
• 2 eggs

Method

   Heat butter in a saucepan.

   Beat eggs and set aside.

   Stir in milk and cook for five minutes, then add eggs and cook for three more minutes.

   Serve over crackers or toast.
