Castle Howard Rolls

Ingredients

• half a pound of butter
• three pounds of flour
• three spoonfuls of yeast
• the yolks of two eggs
• as much milk as will wet the flour

Method

   Rub the butter into the flour, add the yeast and yolks of eggs, then moisten with warm milk.

   Make rolls of middling size and let them rise before baking in a very hot oven for twenty minutes.
