Ingredients

• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup sour milk
• 1 cup shortening
• 1 tablespoonful soda
• flour, a little at a time

Method

   Mix the sugar, sour milk, shortening, and dissolved soda together.

   Then add flour a little at a time until stiff enough to drop from the end of a spoon onto a well-greased pan.
