Brown Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 cups brown sugar
• 1 cup Crisco and butter
• 3 cups flour
• 2 eggs
• 1 level tbsp. soda
• 1 level tbsp. cream of tartar
• Pinch salt

Method

   Cream shortening and sugar, add well beaten eggs.

   Sift salt, soda, cream of tartar and flour several times and add to mixture.

   Mix till very stiff, then roll and cut real thin.
