Black Bean Soup

Ingredients

• one quart of black beans
• four quarts of water
• one pound of beef
• half pound of salt pork
• one large carrot
• one large onion

Method

   Soak beans overnight in water.

   Boil with beef, salt pork, grated carrot, and sliced onion for 3-4 hours.

   Strain and serve with mushroom sauce, lemon, and boiled egg.
