Bisque Tomato Soup

Ingredients

• li lb. Tomatoes
• 1 Onion
• 2 oz. Butter
• Salt, Cayenne
• IJ- pint Milk
• Flour

Method

1. 1

   Boil tomatoes, onion, and a pinch of carbonate of soda in water for 1 hour.

   Rub through a sieve and add cold milk.

   Work butter and flour into a paste, stir into soup, and boil for a few minutes.

   Add salt, cayenne, and cream before serving.
