Bavarian Roast Turkey

Ingredients

• a fat turkey
• 3 raw potatoes
• 2 apples
• 1 onion grated
• a lump of butter
• 1 cup of bread-crumbs
• 1 egg
• sage
• thyme
• salt
• pepper

Method

   Clean and season turkey.

   Stuff with potatoes, apples, and onion mixed with butter and bread-crumbs, add egg, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.

   Place in dripping-pan, pour in water, and dredge with flour.

   Bake in hot oven until done.
