Barbecued Chicken

Ingredients

• Have chicken dressed
• add about one pint of water
• salt
• pepper
• dot well with butter

Method

   Split chicken down back, place in small roaster with split side up.

   Cover with flour, add salt and pepper, dot with butter, and add water.

   Cover and cook on stove for about 25 minutes, turning chicken over twice.

   Once tender, sprinkle with flour and baste well, then place in oven to brown.
