Banana Layer Cake

Ingredients

• Any simple cake batter may be used
• Spread sliced bananas over the layers
• on the banana place lemon or apple jelly
• Instead of the jelly substitute a plain icing
• Substitute whipped cream for the jelly
• the pulp of six bananas
• may be beaten up with a pint of whipped cream
• the stiff-whipped whites of two or three eggs
• and a little sugar

   Use any simple cake batter for the body.

   For filling, spread sliced bananas over layers and top with jelly, icing, or whipped cream.

   Alternatively, beat banana pulp with whipped cream or egg whites and sugar for a topping.
