cups milk 1 yeast cake 4 tablespoons Jelke GOOD LUCK 1 teaspoon salt Margarine 6 cups flour 2 tablespoons sugar 1. Scald milk, add sugar, and stir until sugar dissolves. 2. Cool and add yeast dissolved in small amount of warm water, and 3 cups of flour. Beat until smooth. Let rise 1 hour where warm. 3. Add melted margarine, salt, and enough flour to make a dough (about 3 cups more). Knead 5 minutes. 4. Place in a greased bow] and let rise 114 hours or until double in bulk. 5. Roll out % inch thick. Lift from board (to let it shrink’); cut with biscuit cutter. 6. Brush lightly with melted GOOD LUCK, crease through center, and fold over. Let rise until light. 7. Bake in hot oven (450°F.) about 15 minutes. Twist strips, and twirl them into shape snail-like, starting at center and winding dough around it. Place a dot of lemon or custard filling right in the center. Bake as for Caramel Rolls. NUT BREAD 4 cups flour 2 eggs 6 teaspoons baking powder 11% cups milk 1 teaspoon salt 3 tablespoons Jelke GOOD LUCK 1% cup sugar Margarine 14% cups nut meats 1. Combine dry ingredients; add chopped nut meats. 2. Beat eggs slightly, add to milk, and combine with dry mixture slowly. Add melted GOOD LUCK. 3. Pour into two greased baking pans, and set in warm place to rise for 20 minutes. 4. Bake in moderate oven 350°F. for 45 minutes. Do not cut until loaf is cold.
