Baked Tomatoes

Ingredients

• 6 large tomatoes
• 1 cup bread-crumbs
• U teaspoonful of salt
• 1 tablespoonful of butter
• 1 slice of onion

Method

1. 1

   Put the butter in the frying-pan, and when it bubbles put in the bread-crumbs, salt, and onion, stirring till the crumbs are a little brown.

   Take out the onion and throw it away.

   Wipe the tomatoes, cut out the stem, fill with crumbs, and bake in a hot oven with water and butter mixture.

   Cook till skins are wrinkled.
