Ingredients

• 1 egg, not beaten
• }^ cup of molasses
• 1 tablespoonful butter
• 1 cup of milk
• 1 cup of whole wheat flour
• 1 teaspoonful soda dissolved in hot water
• Seeded raisins and currants to taste

   Beat egg and add molasses and butter.

   Roll raisins and currants in flour and add to mixture.

   Steam for 2.5 hours in a greased mold.
