Aunt Emery's Broiled Tomato with Green Pepper

Ingredients

• Slice good sized tomatoes
• Remove seeds from a green pepper
• a good sized lump of butter
• Dust with salt and black pepper

Method

1. 1

   Slice tomatoes into pieces about 1/2 inch thick.

   Remove seeds from green pepper and slice very thin.

3. 3

   Place a ring of pepper on a slice of tomato with a lump of butter in the center.

4. 4

   Dust with salt and black pepper and broil.

5. 5

   Serve at once on small rounds of toast.
