Apple Sauce Cake (No eggs, no milk) Cream 1 cup sugar and V2 cup shortening, dissolve 1 teasp soda in a little hot water and stir this in 1 cup sour apple sauce, letting it foam over into the mixing bowlj then add 1% cups flour sifted with 1 teasp cinnamon and i/^ teasp each cloves and nutmeg. Mix thoroughly and then put in 1 cup raisins
