Apple Pie

Ingredients

• the apples, after paring and cutting into slices and coring
• half a nutmeg
• a few sticks of cinnamon
• a few little bits of butter
• as much sugar as your judgment directs

Method

   Lay the apples into a deep dish with an under-crust.

   Grate nutmeg over it, add cinnamon, bits of butter, and sugar.

   Cover and close the edge to prevent syrup escape.

   Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours.
