1-2-3-4-Layer Cake

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter
• 4 eggs
• 2 cups sugar
• 3 cups flour
• 1 cup milk
• 1 tablespoon vanilla
• 14 teaspoon salt
• 3 teaspoons baking powder

Method

   Cream butter and sugar.

   Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each.

   Then add milk and vanilla.

   Sift in flour and baking powder a little at a time and mix well.

   Bake at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes.

   Makes four thick layers.

   Put together with seven-minute icing and banana filling.
