John L. Wright, Clach^n, Out.— My MAGNET is exactly as you represented it to me. It is easy to run, easy to wash and easy to set up. It will skim cold milk. POTATO SCALLOPS. Beat to a cream 2 tablespoons of melted butter, add 2 cups of cold mashed potatoes; stir into this 2 well-beaten eggs, 1 cup of milk; salt and pepper to tastePotato Scallops. BOSTON BAKED BEANS. Two cups of white beans, cover with cold water, let come to a boil and simmer gently for 10 minutes. Pour off water and wash thoroughly with cold water. Put beans in small crock. Add X lb. salt fat pork and on top of the rest of the beans sprinkle over them % teaspoon mustard and 3 tablespoons dark molasses. Cover with waterBoston Baked Beans and bake slowly 5 or 6 hours; add more water if needed. Crock should be covered while beans are cooking. Bake in slow oven until firm. BAKED CAULIFLOWER. After washing the cauliflower cut of* '^e outer leaves and break into flowerets. Put into a kettle of boiling r, salted, boil for 30 minutes, drain, place in a baking dish. Put a tablespoon of butter in a sauce pan, a tablespoon of flour, mix; add a half pint of sweet milk, a little salt and pepper and stir constantly until it boils. Pour this sauce over the cauliflower; sprinkle over a half cup of bread crumbsBaked Cauliflower; put on a few bits of butter and bake in a quick oven about 15 minutes, or till the bread is brown. — Mrs. David E.
