Gordon PREFACE We take pleasure in offering to the public The House- wife’s Aid; and have endeavored to secure recipes which are not all original but which have been tried and found reliable, and the signatures appended to them are a guar- antee of their excellence. We thank all of those who have aided us by contribut- ing recipes and made this book possible. We may live without poetry, music or books, But civilized man cannot live without cooks. —OWEN MEREDITH. | Pl ta ok : THE HOME OF Majestic Ranges HOOSIER KITCHEN CABINETS LEONARD CLEANABLE REFRIGERATORS PUORENGE OM STOVES Quinn & Miller Furniture of Quality ans % eal i al ott Marston Drug + Co.
