If you do this regularly it will save a lot of work in getting off hardened grease and will prevent the enamel from getting stained. The enamel plate can be cleaned with soap on a damp cloth. It is not necessary to use a cleaning powder unless the enamel is badly stained. When you want to give the bars and burners a thorough cleaning, they can be taken out quite easily. Wash them in hot water with soda in it, then drain the burners and dry them care- fully before putting them back. The Oven It is a good plan to wipe out the oven every time it is used. This should be done while it is still warm, with a damp dish- cloth. If you do this, it will make the weekly clean a much | easier job, because the grease cannot accumulate and discolour the oven.
