Three types of Worcester Salt have been accepted by the Com- mittee on Foods of the American Medical Association. Three types, because all salt is not alike, even the best. So read this and the following page carefully in order to know exactly when to use each type. First, when you want salt to use in a mouth wash, a gargle, an isotonic solution for correcting constipation, ete., order “Pure Worcester Salt” in the exact package shown on this page. “Pure Worcester Salt” contains no added filler to make it free flowing, or iodine for goiter prevention. It is, as it says, pure Worcester Salt, so pure in fact that it exeeeds the requirements of the United States Pharmacopoeia for chemically pure sodium chloride ... being 99.6% pure NaCl. Insist on this “Pure Wor- cester Salt” package—and make sure that you get what you ask for. “Plain salt” of other makes contains “filler”—something you do not want in a salt solution. | ° 62:3 ~ . 4 YY BP] ror GOITER PREVENTION The Committee on Foods of the American Medical Association has accepted Worcester Iodized Salt and authorized the follow- ing official statement regarding it: “Worcester Iodized Salt is for all table and cooking uses of salt. The added calcium phosphate tends to preserve its free running qualities; the sodium bicar- bonate tends to prevent the loss of iodine. The igdine in the salt aids in preventing goiter caused by insufficient alee in the diet. Used daily as the only salt on the table and in cooking, it richly supplements the iodine of diets deficient in that element and thus helps to protect against goiter.” 2 EW ror EVERY OTHER USE Worcester Ivory Salt is pure Worcester Salt plus 1% tricalcium phosphate to make it free flowing in any weather. It is ideal for cooking and table use where goiter protection is no problem. The tricalcium phosphate used is three times as costly as com- monly used magnesium carbonate fillers—but it is twenty times as effective in its free running qualities. The world’s greatest chefs use it because, as Louis of the Ritz writes, “long hard ex- perience has proved to me that it is the best.” Copyright 1933 Woresiet Salt, ‘sae rag cealech bids Primed in 0. . ; City = 4 “ t *eT1: iy ro AXES THE BE S MAKE THE pee oo es!
